Job Summary:
The Mediterranean Chef De Partie will oversee a specific section of the kitchen, focusing on Mediterranean dishes. The role requires expertise in preparing authentic Mediterranean meals, strong kitchen management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present authentic Mediterranean dishes to the highest standard.
- Ensure consistency and quality in all meals prepared in the Mediterranean section.
- Supervise and coordinate junior kitchen staff working in the assigned section.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations.
- Monitor stock and control waste within your section.
- Assist with menu development by suggesting Mediterranean dishes or improvements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your kitchen area at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen sections to ensure timely service.
- Train and mentor junior staff in Mediterranean cooking techniques.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen.
- At least 3 years of experience specializing in Mediterranean cuisine.
- Culinary certification or diploma from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for Mediterranean flavors.
