Job Description

Our client, a reputable player in the restaurant industry, is seeking passionate and creative Baker Interns to join their team in Nairobi. The ideal candidates will be individuals who are enthusiastic about baking and eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic kitchen environment. This opportunity offers real-world exposure to modern baking techniques, mentorship by seasoned chefs and a platform to launch a promising culinary career.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in preparing and baking various pastries, breads and other baked goods.
  2. Follow recipes and maintain food quality standards and hygiene practices.
  3. Support the baking team in daily kitchen operations including ingredient preparation and inventory checks.
  4. Learn and apply food safety regulations and kitchen protocols.
  5. Contribute to the development of new bakery items under supervision.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstations.


Qualifications

  1. Recent graduate in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Food & Beverage or a related field.
  2. Passion for baking with a willingness to learn and grow in a professional kitchen setting.
  3. Basic knowledge of baking tools, ingredients and equipment.
  4. Excellent attention to detail, teamwork and communication skills.
  5. Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  6. Previous internship or attachment in a bakery or kitchen environment will be an added advantage.
