About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hotel Night Auditor to join a reputable hotel in Hurlingham, Nairobi. As the Night Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth overnight operations at the front desk while balancing daily financial transactions and delivering exceptional guest service. You will act as the key point of contact for guests during the night shift, managing check-ins, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a seamless guest experience.

This position is ideal for a professional with strong customer service skills and a background in front desk operations or basic accounting, looking to work in a dynamic hospitality environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee front desk operations during the night shift, including guest check-ins and check-outs
  2. Balance and audit the day’s financial transactions and reconcile accounting ledgers
  3. Prepare invoices, checkout bills and financial reports for management
  4. Monitor room availability and occupancy levels
  5. Process room taxes, discounts and vouchers accurately
  6. Respond to guest inquiries, requests and complaints with professionalism
  7. Schedule wake-up calls and other guest services based on preference
  8. Maintain proper records and update customer accounts and ledgers
  9. Ensure security protocols and safety procedures are followed during night operations
  10. Liaise with other departments to address any guest needs or service gaps


Qualifications & Skills:

  1. At least 3 year of experience in a hotel front desk or night audit position
  2. Proficiency in MS Office, Property Management Systems (PMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  3. Sound knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  4. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  6. Ability to work independently and solve problems in high-pressure situations
  7. Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  8. High school diploma or equivalent required; a diploma or degree in Hotel Management or a related field is an added advantage
